In recent years, master data management has become a major concern for many of the world's largest enterprises. Before you embark on an MDM initiative, you must undertake a data initiative. First complete data profiling activities to understand the current state of the data within your environment. A correct assessment will result in activity for a data quality initiative to cleanse the source data, determine the root cause of any reported data inconsistencies, and apply a long-term fix. The natural result of this exercise may be a data quality management initiative as part of an enterprise Six Sigma project. Learn more in this session.
